Export closeout Excel files for review and bookkeeping
Export a finalized closeout to Excel for bookkeeping review while keeping the source record and file edits distinct.
A spreadsheet is often easier than a screenshot when a bookkeeper needs to inspect categories or reconcile totals. NailWage’s Excel export carries the period’s recorded figures into a downloadable file. It works best when the recipient knows the date range, category definitions and records that remain outside the export.
What to prepare
Select a finalized period and identify the question to be checked. Have the relevant POS reports, expense records or separate payout corrections available. Explain that this is a salon closeout report, not a payroll-provider import file guaranteed to match every service.
How to use it
- Sign in, open the salon and select a finalized closeout.
- Download Excel and inspect the sheets for the summary, technician figures and owner-income information.
- Compare dates and totals with the same period in the app.
- Share the appropriate file with your bookkeeper, together with questions and missing supporting records.
An example to check
For example, the bookkeeper changes a number in Excel to illustrate a proposed correction. That edit remains in the downloaded file. It does not update NailWage or reopen the finalized closeout, so both parties need to agree which record is authoritative.
Next step
Test one period with the person who will receive the workbook. Excel exports are available through the salon account during the free pilot.
Open the tool or explore its sample workflow. Saving salon records requires signing in and selecting the correct salon.
