Terms of Use

Last updated June 12, 2026.

Acceptance and business use

By creating an account, using NailWage, or allowing someone to use NailWage for your salon, you agree to these Terms. NailWage is intended for U.S. nail salon business use by adults who can enter a binding agreement.

What NailWage does

NailWage is an owner-controlled recordkeeping, calculation, and review tool. It helps salon owners track daily work, calculate technician payout summaries from owner-entered records, review card-processing fees, create pay-policy records, and export closeout or technician-summary files.

What NailWage does not do

NailWage is not a tax, legal, payroll-processing, wage-and-hour, employment-classification, accounting, or financial-advice service. It does not issue W-2, 1099, 941, tax returns, official payroll filings, legal contracts, or employment-classification decisions. Review official records and compliance decisions with your CPA, payroll provider, attorney, or other qualified advisor.

Owner responsibility and review

The salon owner is responsible for all numbers entered, imported, scanned, finalized, exported, or shared from the account. You must review draft imports, OCR results, card-fee estimates, closeout worksheets, policy records, and exports before relying on them or sharing them. NailWage calculates from the information supplied by users and cannot verify whether the underlying business records are complete, lawful, or correct.

Accounts and authorized users

You are responsible for keeping login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Only invite or allow people you authorize to access salon records. If you believe an account, technician link, or exported file was accessed without permission, contact us promptly and rotate or revoke affected links where available.

Salon records and user content

You keep ownership of the salon records, files, names, amounts, policies, and other content you enter or upload. You give NailWage permission to host, process, display, calculate, export, secure, back up, and transmit that content as needed to operate the product and support your account. You represent that you have the right to provide the content and to share any technician information you enter.

Imports, scans, and calculations

OCR, file import, POS templates, card-statement scans, W2 Cost Check, W2 Transition Check, Worker Classifier, Card-Fee Check, POS Totals Check, and other calculators and educational tools create draft, estimated, educational, or benchmark results for owner review. They may misread documents, omit context, or produce estimates that differ from a processor, CPA, payroll provider, or government agency; the Worker Classifier is educational only and is never a determination of any worker's status. You must verify numbers against source records and confirm any tax, payroll, or worker-classification question with a qualified advisor.

Finalized records and corrections

Finalized closeout records are designed to preserve a historical audit trail. If a mistake is found, create a corrected or new record rather than altering or deleting the finalized record. Exports and technician summaries are recordkeeping outputs based on the data in NailWage; they are not official wage, tax, or government filings.

Technician links and policy receipts

Technician summaries, My Earnings links, and pay-policy links are scoped bearer links. Anyone with a valid, unrevoked link can view the information available through that link. Share links carefully, revoke or rotate them when needed, and understand that a technician marking a link received is not an agreement that the numbers are legally correct or a waiver of any rights.

Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Paid plans are billed through Stripe and may renew automatically unless canceled. Prices, plan features, trials, and limits are shown in the product or pricing page and may change prospectively. You can manage or cancel a subscription through the billing portal. Unless required by law or stated in writing, fees already charged are not automatically refundable.

Acceptable use

Do not use NailWage to hide, falsify, destroy, understate, or misrepresent records; evade taxes; violate labor, employment, privacy, or other laws; upload malware; attempt unauthorized access; interfere with the service; reverse engineer protected parts of the service; or use the product to create two inconsistent sets of records for different audiences.

Third-party services

NailWage relies on third-party providers such as Supabase, Stripe, Resend, Sentry, Google Analytics, OCR providers, hosting providers, and similar vendors. Their services may have separate terms and privacy practices. NailWage is not responsible for third-party products, processors, POS systems, banks, CPAs, payroll providers, or government systems.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NailWage is provided as is and as available, without warranties of accuracy, uninterrupted availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compliance outcome, tax outcome, audit outcome, or payroll outcome. We do not guarantee that every calculation, import, scan, estimate, or benchmark will be error-free.

Limitation of liability and indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NailWage and its owners, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, lost-profit, lost-data, audit, tax, payroll, employment, or third-party claims arising from your use of the product. To the maximum extent permitted by law, total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid NailWage in the three months before the claim or $100. You agree to indemnify NailWage for claims arising from your records, instructions, unlawful use, or breach of these Terms.

Law, disputes, changes, and contact

These Terms are governed by California law, except for conflicts-of-law rules, unless mandatory law requires otherwise. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally. We may update these Terms as the product changes; continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms. Questions can be sent to nailwage@gmail.com.
